Real change, the kind of change that results from single-minded commitment and forsaking all else, comes when you realize that the prize you’re playing for is useless. Even if you win this game you’re playing, you still lose. You still lose. Everybody loses. Even the winners. Because even the winners were tricked into playing. and when life is over, all they will have done is wasted life playing a worthless game. Slain imaginary dragons. Piled up imaginary cash. What a waste!

Congratulations! You have the winning raffle ticket! Your prize? 10 free raffle tickets. Half of a raffle ticket. 100 FREE RAFFLE TICKETS!

When all of this becomes clear, you’ll probably just sit down and look around and realize for the first time in your life that you can actually see. Yet there’s nothing to look at. Like sitting in a quiet desert on a pleasant, windy day. But you can see and feel for miles. And if there is something worth seeing, you will.

It’s time to walk away. We can’t keep doing this.
