The best way out of a dream is not to go into a deeper dream. Obviously. At that point, you’re just layering illusions. The best way is to wake up. But often times, wanting to wake up isn’t enough. But it gets you moving in the right direction. Often times, the only way to wake up from a bad dream is for the dream to become uncomfortable enough that something in you, maybe a survival mechanism or something, decides to abandon the dream and propel you into consciousness. Then comes the relief. You don’t have to fight that thing anymore or feel that pain anymore. Even though sometimes you’re still mad at the person who might have hurt you in your dream. That’s a funny thing.
